As is already well known, last May 13th the international competition of Grenahces du Monde was held in Paris. This competition is held annually and is aimed at all wines made with the Grenache variety, as its name well suggests.
Grenaches du Monde is an initiative of the Conseil Interprofessionnel des Vins du Roussillon (CIVR) of Perpignan with the aim of promoting quality wines from all Grenache varieties, as well as encouraging their production and consumption at an international level. In this competition, 3 medals can be distinguished: double gold medal, gold medal and silver medal.
In this twelfth edition, Celler Josep Vicens was awarded a gold medal for the Ma Iaia Cinta Origen wine. This wine is a journey to our origins, a fresh, direct and above all, authentic wine. It is a 100% white Grenache fermented in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature and aged for 6 months in battonage on its lees.
This medal represents international recognition of the work done throughout the year, it is for this reason that we are proud to receive this award.
